With the chance to meet Kernersville in the finals, Catawba Valley and West Virginia closed out the day's schedule. The loser would face elimination and the winner would have to beat Kernersville twice on Monday to claim the title.
Unable to produce enough runs as they had also done earlier in the day, West Virginia fell to Catawba Valley by a score of 6-2.
Catawba Valley and Kernersville will meet at 5pm on Monday for the League Tournament Championship. A win by Catawba Valley would force the second game which would be played immediately following the completion of the first contest.
